Jay Moore’s History In Plain Sight is a video series aiming to give viewers the “story behind the place.” Abilene and Taylor County, Texas has more than her fair share of history that people drive by every day. By informing others of the significance of what they are seeing out of their windshield, Jay hopes to extend the hometown pride that comes from knowing the hometown’s history.
In 2009, the first of the series, the Bankhead Highway, was released. Since that time, four additional stories for the series – Who Is That Street?, Fair Park of Abilene, Wooten: An Abilene Life and Abilene Beginnings have been released.
